Week 2 Power Rankings

Chaos, injuries, and waiver-wire whispers shake up the Dawg Pound.

1 Bishop Sycamore (2–0) +2

The OldDawgs league has a new alpha! Josh Allen’s quiet day would doom most squads, but not this loaded roster. The RB duo of Kenneth Walker and Chuba Hubbard performed beautifully together, and Amon-Ra St. Brown detonated for a MASSIVE 34. Javonte Williams in the flex also added his stamp on this squads performance. Even the bench flexed! This roster just proved there’s no wrong lineup here. This team can win ugly or pretty, and that’s terrifying.

2 Unvaxed Swine (2–0) -1

Unvaxed Swine has slowed down from their week 1 performance. Christian McCaffrey and Puka Nacua did their part, but this was more of a grind than a statement. T.J. Hockenson and Marvin Harrison Jr. barely moved the needle, and Denver’s D actually went negative. Leaving Kraft on the bench is forgivable in a win, but it highlights a rare soft spot. Had he been in the starting rotation, this team would have still looked like the unbeatable juggernaut they were in week 1. Now? They’ve shown they can be mortal.

3 You Shadeur About That? (2–0) +2

Quietly 2–0 and getting louder. Malik Nabers exploded this week with a 33 point game. Zach Ertz chipped in 15, and everyone else gave solid, double-digit support. No flash, just balanced destruction. GM hopes to add another weapon in Waiver claim Troy Franklin to a lineup that already looks playoff ready.

4 Goffense Wins Games (2–0) NC

When Jared Goff explodes, you remember why this team is dangerous. Conner and Waddle held down the flex spots. Prater showed off a golden leg, and Skattebo is trying to knock on the starting door for a flex spot. If the team can find a way to get some consistency instead of having roller coaster weeks of ups and down, they can solidify themselves as a top tier roster.

5 Basdenators (1–1) +4

A solid W gets the Basdenators on the board with their first win of the season. The backfield finally clicked, as the two starting RBs combined for roughly a third of the team’s total output and set the tone early. Kicker Aubrey was the unexpected hero, drilling every opportunity and delivering a rare 20+ point performance. Prescott bounced back nicely from a sluggish opener, providing steady QB play that kept the offense humming. Outside of those highlights, the rest of the roster turned in average efforts besides the Cowboys D who actually hurt the cause with negative points. Luckily the Basdenators didn’t need perfection. Their opponent’s struggles kept things manageable, and this balanced showing may be the blueprint for climbing out of the bottom tier. We’ll see if the FA shuffle the GM made will make a difference as he hopes Romeo Doubs adds some roster flexibility.

6 Burrow My Face In It (1–1) +4

Very rarely do you see a team rebrand in the middle of the year, but after the first weeks performance, this GM thought it necessary. The squad formerly known as Mike Hunt Mike Hunt (possibly the greatest rebrand ever) needed RBs and defense to mask a Joe Burrow dud after suffering injury. They delivered! The RB1/RB2 combo combined for 30 and Baltimore’s D added 16. The GM wasted no time in looking for other options as Waiver-wire QB Jordan Love now joins the mix; the insurance this team badly needs if Burrow is out for long.

7 The Fantasy Football Team (1–1) -1

This was the week to take down Unvaxed Swine, and this squad couldn’t capitalize. Kyler Murray wasn’t anything to write home about. The RB1, Hampton, put out a laughable performance. WR2 Drake London didn’t fair much better. The bench was screaming with production from Odunze and Allgeier to help this squad out, making the loss sting even more. With the starters playing lackadaisical against a team who requires your full attention, new FA pickups signal a GM who knows changes are needed.

8 joshholtcamp (1–1) -6

This was an abysmal team total, the worst of this extremely short season so far. WRs Flowers and CeeDee Lamb cracked double digits. And that… well that’s the list. White on the bench is a faint consolation. Free agency adds (Colts Def, K Shrader, WR Ayomanor) are baby steps, but this roster has shown that the floor may be far lower than the ceiling is high.

9 McLovin (0–2) -2

RB Derrick Henry delivered a shocker; an utter failure of a day with just 2 points. Taylor tried to pick up some of Henry’s slack with 28, but it just isn’t the same without a Henry-esque performance. Hunt, out of the flex, was also a disappointment in performance. A solid performance out of Kupp, which wouldn’t have made much of a difference here, will help stabilize things, but this team feels like they’re stuck in neutral.

10 Brockback Mountain (0–2) -2

Lamar Jackson still putting up L-J numbers. Add in Robinson leading the rest of the squad and these two are doing everything they can to pull this team along. But the disastrous decision in the flex spots with Ekeler and Andrews keep the mountain climb steep. It’s the one spot on the field that you can point to where this game was lost. RB Etienne deserves a starting nod ASAP with the numbers he has put up.

11 Good Jeants (0–2) NC

When your QB and RB1 both leave injured, the fantasy gods have spoken and your fate is sealed. Rookie Jeanty and Croskey-Merritt did very little to stop the bleeding as well. The lone bright spots ended up being the Bill’s D and WR Jameson Williams. Ironically enough, I’m sure the GM is pouring himself some Evan Williams or some Jameson right about now. QB Jones did get added from FA, but the injury bug looms large for this squad.

12 Baker’s Dozen (0–2) NC

Chase and Adams did exactly what you drafted them to do. However, Henry at TE and Sutton in the flex combined for a lousy 2 points. Dobbins is flashing some starting potential, and a bench stacked with points shows that the talent is there. This GM, adding some options with the FA moves, just needs some savvy choices to the starting lineup and it could spark them with a week 3 rebound.

Waiver Wire & Trade Rumblings

  • Burrow My Face In It adds QB Jordan Love for much-needed depth.
  • You Shadeur About That? grabs WR Troy Franklin and Chiefs D; QB Jayden Daniels officially on the trade block.
  • Basdenators shop Travis Hunter, pick up Seattle D and WR Doubs.
  • Good Jeants seek QB help, snag Daniel Jones.
  • Baker’s Dozen overhaul at D/ST and TE, grabbing Tampa D and TE Johnson.
  • Fantasy Football Team shuffle continues with Falcons D and WR Robinson.

Week 3 Look-Ahead

The early season picture is starting to take shape, and Week 3 brings some must-watch matchups. Which of the league’s undefeated’s will remain that way? Unvaxed Swine has let the top spot of the rankings go. Can they gain it back? Or is Bishop Sycamore’s grasp on it too tight? At the other end of the standings, a few teams are still searching for that elusive first win. Who will finally break through, and who will find themselves staring at an 0-3 hole that’s tough to climb out of? With undefeated streaks and first-win desperation both on the table, this week could be a major turning point for the season!

Power Rankings – Week 1

Week 1 is in the books, and the teams wasted no time bringing the fireworks. We had heartbreakers, blowouts, lineup regrets, and even a kicker injury before the first snap. Some preseason favorites looked every bit the part, while others stumbled out of the gate. Let’s dive into the first official Power Rankings of the season!

1. Unvaxed Swine (GM: Virden) (1–0) NC

The juggernaut looked every bit the part, dropping a league-high for the ’25 season 150.02 points. CMC, Samuel, and Denver’s defense led the way in a dominant win. Mahomes was steady, Hockenson disappointing, but it didn’t matter at the end of the day. This roster has no glaring holes. The only comfort for the league: the bench looked mortal. Still, this team is as terrifying as advertised.

2. Teamjoshholtcamp (GM: joshholtcamp) (1–0) +2

A statement win in a thriller, 120.58–118.36. Lamb, Hall, Hurts, and TE Bowers all looked strong, with Flowers exploding for 25 in the flex. The downside: Pacheco and Downs both left points on the table, but depth carried the day. This team showed they can grind out close wins against tough opponents, which is a hallmark of playoff squads.

3. Bishop Sycamore (GM: avfandel) (1–0) +2

Josh Allen reminded the league why he’s a fantasy cheat code, racking up 38.76 points and carrying Sycamore to a 106.66–97.48 win. Kelce and Hubbard were steady, while St. Brown and Smith sputtered. The scary part? Kyren Williams went off on the bench. If the starters production comes along, this squad could push to the top tier.

4. GoffenseWinsGames (GM:ShawDawg62) (1–0) +2

The RB core delivered in a gritty 98–94 win over the Basdenators as Barkley, Kyren, Conner combined for 42 points. TE depth is a real weapon, with both Kincaid, who was benched, and Smith hitting 10+. WRs Higgins and Waddle, battling injury, underwhelmed, and QB Goff was shaky at best, but this team feels like it has the balance to contend. Survive and advance.

5. You Shadeur About That? (GM:Wilkes) (1–0) +5

One of Week 1’s biggest risers. Wilkes rode steady play across the board plus a flex breakout from Wilson to upset preseason #2 Mike Hunt Mike Hunt. Smartly avoided a disaster by benching Johnson, and RB Sampson flashed on the bench. Still some rotation decisions to be made at RB and WR, but this team is suddenly looking very real.

6. TheFantasyFootballTeam (GM:tstennis3)(1–0) +2

They didn’t even need Herbert’s 28 points on the bench to cruise to a 114.32–85.54 win. Rookie WR Egbuka popped off, and Odunze looked good on the pine. The worry: Pickens struggled, and two bench spots need to be looked at because of IR and inactives. If Herbert is unleashed moving forward, this team can climb fast.

7. McLovin (GM: nolioli) (0–1) -4

Henry reminded everyone he’s still a beast, and Mayfield gave steady QB play. But the WR room imploded. The starters combined for just 9 points, and Worthy goose-egged in the flex. A narrow 97.48–106.66 loss hurts more because it feels like it was one lineup swap away from victory. Depth will be tested early.

8. BrockbackMountain (GM:handydandy) (0–1) -1

Lamar and Bijan delivered, but benching Etienne proved costly in a 118.36–120.58 nailbiter. Andrews’ 1-point dud was a gut punch. Green Bay’s Def looks like it could be a weekly weapon, but lineup decisions need to be sharper in close contests. Felt like this team was one big play away from basking in the spoils of victory. This is a playoff-caliber roster that just took a bad beat.

9. Basdenators (GM:Basden_) (0–1) -2

So close, but Pittman’s performance on the bench looms large in a 94.82–98 loss. Achane and JSN flashed, but Prescott’s gaudy numbers cratered the week. The GM is making moves early looking to add depth in the WR room and trying to get on the right side of winning. This team has weapons, but QB play and lineup decisions need to tighten up quickly.

10. Mike Hunt Mike Hunt (GM:EvanUnruh) (0–1) -8

Preseason #2 team comes crashing down. Burrow flopped, and the WR trio of A.J. Brown, Ridley, and rookie Golden combined for just 8 points. The silver lining? The bench went nuclear having Keon Coleman, Kennan Allen, and Hollywood Brown combine for 50+. The difference in staying at the top or tumbling down was just a few lineup changes away. A reshape of the lineup could take this team back up the ladder. GM Unruh has to make tough choices fast.

11. Good Jeants (GM:mitchellsones) (0–1) NC

Dropped 114.68, which would’ve beaten most of the league, but ran into the buzzsaw that is Unvaxed Swine. Purdy’s injury hurts going forward, but the rookie Jeanty looked solid, and Croskey-Merritt flashed on the bench. Strong kicker and Def play were bright spots in week 1 and the GM hopes to keep that going. The bench moves this week show a GM scrambling to patch holes and strengthing rooms. One things certain, there’s fight in this roster.

12. Baker’s Dozen (Lweezy4) (0–1) -1

Chase and Adams disappeared, Nix faceplanted, and Engram couldn’t bail them out in an 85.54 dud. Dobbins looked good on the bench, but lineup space is tight. The good news? It’s only Week 1 and there is a lot of ball left to play. The bad news? Fans might be upset to know the GM is sticking with his draft picks; not many roster moves were made during the week on the waiver wire.

Waiver & Trade Notes

  • On the block: Tyrone Tracy (Wilkes).
  • Key Adds: Wilkes grabbed WR Boutte (over Mitchellsones), Basden scooped Johnston and Austin, Mitchellsones added Fields, Tillman, and Giddens.
  • Drops of Note: Wilkes ditched Tank Bigsby, Mitchellsones cut Shrader despite his 15-point outburst, tstennis swapped out Spears and Bengals D.

A lot of ball left to play

Week 1 gave us fireworks, lineup heartbreaks, and a clear top dog. But as we’ve already seen, one lineup decision or breakout bench performance can swing everything. With trades starting to percolate and waivers heating up, expect some big shakeups in Week 2.

The 2025 Season is Upon us!

Preseason Power Rankings

The dust has settled, and the draft is officially in the books. A new season brings fresh changes, chief among them the long-awaited shift to a keeper league. With that transition now finalized, GMs across the board are adjusting to a brand-new fantasy football landscape; one where long-term strategy matters just as much as weekly matchups. Rosters are as stacked as ever, and the stakes feel higher. So before kickoff, let’s take an inside look at each squad—praising the powerhouses, critiquing the question marks, and stirring up a healthy dose of preseason hype.

1. VirdenGrade: A+

Virden walked away from the draft with what looks like a juggernaut. Christian McCaffrey, Puka Nacua, Alvin Kamara, Marvin Harrison Jr., and Patrick Mahomes form a five-headed monster that gives this team firepower at every position. Throw in Hockenson at tight end and a bench stocked with Deebo Samuel and Christian Kirk, and it’s hard to find a weak spot. Grabbing Marvin Harrison Jr. in the fourth round was an absolute steal, while Jordan Mason in the ninth felt like a wasted dart. Still, with elite balance and depth, this roster is the preseason favorite.

2. EvanUnruhGrade: A

EvanUnruh built a sturdy, veteran-heavy team that can compete right away. Josh Jacobs and James Cook anchor the backfield, while A.J. Brown and Calvin Ridley give him explosiveness at wide receiver. Joe Burrow brings steady QB production, and Brandon Aiyuk in the 11th round might have been the best value pick in the entire draft. The only real head-scratcher was taking rookie WR M. Golden in the seventh, but the upside might pan out. This team’s mix of proven veterans and sneaky depth puts them firmly in title contention.

3. nolioliGrade: A

Talk about top-heavy firepower: nolioli loaded up on Derrick Henry, Jonathan Taylor, and Tyreek Hill in the first three rounds, creating one of the scariest RB-WR trios in the league. McLaurin, burner Xavier Worthy, and veteran Cooper Kupp make the WR room even deeper, while David Njoku provides steady TE play. Nick Chubb in the ninth felt like an unnecessary gamble after last year’s injury, but snagging Hill at 3.7 more than makes up for it. If the RBs stay healthy, this roster could dominate.

4. joshholtcampGrade: A-

With CeeDee Lamb, rising phenom Brock Bowers, and Breece Hall, joshholtcamp hit the draft with a perfect balance of youth and established talent. Jalen Hurts in the fourth gives him an elite dual-threat QB, and the WR depth, highlighted by Zay Flowers and Chris Olave, is outstanding. If there’s a concern, it’s the late-round dart throws like Joshua Palmer or the Commanders defense, which may not return much value. Still, the top half of this roster has so much firepower that it should more than cover any soft spots, making this team a strong contender out of the gate.

5. avfandelGrade: B+

Avfandel took the “star power first” approach and it paid off. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Josh Allen, Travis Kelce, DeVonta Smith, and Stefon Diggs headline a lineup that could win any given week by sheer force. There are questions in the RB room, Chuba Hubbard in the third was a reach, and rookie Quinshon Judkins is a bit of a lottery ticket. However, Kenneth Walker does provide stability. Diggs in the eighth was a bargain that keeps this team in the mix for a top seed.

6. ShawDawg62Grade: B+

This roster is built the old-school way: stockpiling running backs. Saquon Barkley, Kyren Williams, James Conner, and Tony Pollard give ShawDawg62 a rock-solid RB core, while Tee Higgins, D.J. Moore, and Jaylen Waddle balance things out at WR. Jared Goff at QB isn’t flashy, but he’s reliable enough for this squad. The weakest pick was rookie RB Skattebo in the eighth. He’s more of a long shot than a contributor. Still, the depth and balance make this team playoff-ready.

7. Basden_Grade: B

Basden_ leaned into youth and upside, starting with Jahmyr Gibbs and De’Von Achane. Add in Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Sam LaPorta, and Michael Pittman, and you’ve got a foundation of young stars who could explode this year. Dak Prescott provides stability at QB, and Joe Mixon was a nice mid-round value. The questionable move was taking Tyrone Henderson in the fifth, a bit rich for a committee back. Still, if the youth movement clicks, this could be a dark horse contender.

8. tstennis3Grade: B

Zero-RB drafters, rejoice. Tstennis3 loaded up on wideouts early with Justin Jefferson, Drake London, and George Pickens, then sprinkled in Rome Odunze and Emeka Egbuka for future firepower. George Kittle locks down TE, while Justin Herbert in the 10th was daylight robbery. The RBs (Hampton, Swift, Spears, Blue, Allgeier) are unproven, but if one or two pop, this team could scare people. High ceiling, high risk.

9. handydandygandyGrade: B-

Handydandygandy went big with Bijan Robinson and Lamar Jackson as cornerstones, then added DK Metcalf, David Montgomery, and Mark Andrews for a balanced core. The issue? Way too many tight ends. After Andrews, this team still drafted T. Warren, C. Loveland, and even a late Hunter Henry. Those wasted roster spots could have gone toward WR/RB depth. Still, the elite pieces keep this team dangerous despite some draft mismanagement.

10. WilkesGrade: C+

Wilkes doubled down on youth and upside, and the results are intriguing but risky. Nabers, Nico Collins, Garrett Wilson, and J. Daniels form a young nucleus that could be special, but the RB room is shaky with little proven production outside of R. Harvey. Tank Bigsby in the ninth was especially puzzling given his lack of role. If the young core breaks out, this team could shock people, but it might be a year early.

11. Lweezy4Grade: C+

Ja’Marr Chase and Davante Adams headline Lweezy4’s draft, but beyond that the roster feels patchy. Ray Davis Stevenson in the 11th was an incredible value pick, but relying on rookies like Bo Nix and Drake Maye at QB feels unstable. RB depth is questionable, and the double-dipping at TE (Evan Engram, Hunter Henry) doesn’t add much upside. This squad will go as far as Chase and Adams can carry it.

12. mitchellsonesGrade: C

Mitchellsones took a lot of swings, but most of them felt like reaches. Jeanty in the first was bold, but the value just wasn’t there compared to safer options. Mike Evans and Rashee Rice help stabilize things, and Brock Purdy in the 10th was a solid QB grab, but picks like Croskey-Merritt in the ninth and backup backs in the late rounds hurt the overall build. This is a project team that will need waivers to bail them out.

That’s the preseason landscape in a nutshell.

On paper, Virden looks like the team to beat, but as any seasoned fantasy fan knows, this league is wide open. Mitchellsones might be facing a tougher road this year, but with two titles in the last three seasons and one of the best winning percentages among GMs, you can bet he’ll be active on the waiver wire and managing his roster to the wire. In this league, no one is out of the hunt just yet.

Week 2 Power Rankings

Welcome back to Week 2 of the power rankings for the msuolddawgs league! After an exciting start to the season, it’s time to take a closer look at how teams are shaping up in the world of fantasy football. We’ve witnessed breakout performances, unexpected disappointments, and a rollercoaster of emotions in just two short weeks. As the dust settles and we head into the third week of action, let’s dive into our rankings to see who’s on the rise and who’s got some work to do to climb the fantasy football ladder. Strap in and get ready for another thrilling ride through the Week 2 power rankings!

1. Unvaxed Swine – manged by Virden (+2)

The Unvaxed Swine have surged up two spots to claim the coveted top position on our Week 2 power rankings. Their ascent was punctuated by a nail-biting, high-scoring showdown that left fantasy owners on the edge of their seats. They secured the closest win of the week, with a thrilling matchup that showcased their offensive prowess. Week 2 saw them improve significantly upon their already impressive Week 1 performance. It’s no surprise when you look at their roster; all of their starters averaged around 14 points. When your team is firing on all cylinders like this, you know you’re in for a dominant season. However, even the mightiest teams have their weak points, and for the Unvaxed Swine, it was their flex wide receiver who failed to produce any significant points in Week 2. Despite this minor hiccup, the potential of this squad is undeniable. If they continue to perform at this level, they will undoubtedly be a force to be reckoned with throughout the entire season. Watch out for this team as they aim to maintain their reign at the top of the power rankings.

2. Pukkake Gang – managed by HungDawg (+4)

The newly named Pukkake Gang has emerged as one of the early surprises of the fantasy football season, soaring up th.e power rankings by a staggering four spots to secure the coveted #2 ranking in Week 2. Building on their solid Week 1 performance, this team showed that they are a force to be reckoned with, thanks in no small part to their savvy waiver claims that paid off big time. Their success is a testament to the art of roster management. HungDawg wisely scoured the waiver wire for hidden gems, and their additions have already yielded impressive results. These newfound talents injected a much-needed boost into the lineup, pushing the team to new heights. However, it’s not all sunshine and roses for them. The starting running backs remain a weak point, and their quarterback play, while serviceable, hasn’t been outstanding from the starter. It might be time to contemplate making some adjustments, perhaps turning to the bench for a spark. Nevertheless, despite these areas of concern, this team managed to secure the win and improve on their scoring total from Week 1. With their knack for making shrewd moves in free agency, there’s a genuine possibility that this team could continue its ascent towards the top of the power rankings. The potential for greatness is there, and if they can address their weak spots, they might just find themselves as the team to beat in the weeks to come.

3. StartMikeWright – managed by SheltonTill (+5)

StartMikeWright has made a significant leap of the week, catapulting five spots to secure the coveted #3 position in our power rankings. It’s significant rise that has put all other owners on notice of this team. However, the celebration might be short-lived for this team, as they face a challenge in Week 3 with two of their starters dealing with injury issues that will keep them sidelined. Despite the adversity, the team’s manager has been proactive, scouring the free agency market to plug the gaps and keep the ship afloat until their key players return to full strength. One of the standout improvements for this team in Week 2 was the enhanced performance of their quarterback. This upgrade couldn’t have come at a better time, injecting life into an offense that was craving consistency. Additionally, a strategic acquisition in the form of a new defense seemed to be the catalyst they needed to push their record to an impressive 2-0 start for the year. As this newly named team navigates through the challenges of injuries and roster adjustments, they’ve shown resilience and adaptability. The upcoming weeks will be crucial to determine if they can maintain their newfound success or if they will face additional hurdles along the way. For now, they’ve earned their place in the top tier of our power rankings and have captured the league’s attention with their impressive start to the season

4. Team Joshholtcamp – managed by joshholtcamp (-2)

Team Joshholtcamp might be off to a strong 2-0 start in the league, but the Week 2 power rankings tell a different story. Despite their winning record, this squad has slipped two spots, now resting at the #4 ranking. The reason for this decline? Poor management decisions that left fantasy enthusiasts scratching their heads. One thing that can’t be denied about joshholtcamp’s team is their consistency. Week after week, they’ve managed to produce more points than predicted, securing those all-important wins. It’s a testament to their player selection and strategy. However, Week 2 exposed a glaring issue. The team’s management decisions, or lack thereof, were at the heart of their fall in the power rankings. Leaving two injured players in the lineup was a risky move, and they got away with it only because they were facing the only other team in the league with an absentee manager. Luck played a significant role in their victory this time around. As we move forward in the season, this manager will need to tighten up their game and make wiser choices to maintain their winning streak. Their consistency is commendable, but relying on luck alone won’t cut it in the long run. Fantasy football can be a fickle game, and they’ll need to prove that their strategy can overcome adversity to stay in contention for the top spot in the power rankings

5. LaPorta Potty – managed by mitchellsones (+6)

The name change seems to be working for teams this week. LaPorta Potty has stormed up the power rankings like a whirlwind, making an astonishing leap of six spots to seize the #5 position. After a less than stellar season opener, the team’s manager demonstrated unwavering determination, proving that winning championships is their top priority, and they’re willing to make the tough decisions to get there no matter the cost to any players feelings. This resolute approach paid dividends, propelling this team to the second-highest scoring total of the year so far. The secret to their success? A brilliant acquisition at quarterback, coupled with skill positions that produced in spectacular fashion. The newfound quarterback delivered impressive performances that breathed life into the team’s offense. However, not everything went according to plan. The defense, despite expectations, failed to live up to their predictions and now finds itself on the chopping block most likely for Week 3. Perhaps the most jaw-dropping aspect of this team’s resurgence is the fact that the manager left three skill position players on the bench in Week 2, all of whom produced games with 15+ points, with two even hitting the coveted 25-point mark. It’s a testament to their depth and ability to make the right calls when it counts. As LaPorta Potty continues its quest for fantasy football glory, they’ve shown that they’re not afraid to make bold moves and shake things up when necessary. With their newfound momentum and an uncanny knack for discovering hidden gems, this team is poised to be a contender as the season unfolds. Keep an eye on them as they aim to climb even higher in the rankings and make a serious run at the championship.

6. Aiyukatau! – managed by nolioli (-5)

Aiyukatau! faced a significant drop in our Week 2 power rankings, sliding five spots from the coveted #1 position to a still respectable #6. This swift descent was fueled by a mix of underperforming stars and a lackluster overall showing by the team. One bright spot was the improved quarterback play in Week 2, signaling a potential turnaround for the team. However, the “big 3” that carried them to glory in Week 1 failed to replicate their success, resulting in a dip in points production. The manager opted not to make any moves in free agency after their stellar Week 1 performance, which, in hindsight, may have been a missed opportunity to bolster the roster. Week 2 delivered a harsh reality check, as this team posted the second-lowest point total of the season. The once-mighty roster appeared mediocre at best, failing to live up to expectations. While the manager did leave some points on the bench with a wide receiver, it’s unlikely that those extra points would have made a significant difference in the unfavorable matchup they found themselves in. Despite the setbacks in Week 2, this team still holds immense potential for big scores, given the talent on the roster. The key will be finding consistency and ensuring that the “big 3” and other star players deliver when it matters most. With a long season ahead, there’s plenty of time for this team to bounce back and reclaim a top spot in the power rankings. It’s a challenging road, but this manager has the talent to overcome the setbacks and emerge as a contender once again by playing the right moves at the right time.

7. Bishop Sycamore – managed by avfandel (+3)

Bishop Sycamore has made a notable leap, surging up three spots to claim the #7 spot in our power rankings. The team’s manager made a crucial decision that proved to be a game-changer, opting to sit one of the starting running backs in favor of a recently acquired waiver claim from free agency. This move paid off handsomely, as the skill positions lit up the scoreboard, averaging over 17 points per player. However, the fantasy football gods can be fickle, and the starting running back, known for his injury-prone history, is now dealing with an ankle issue that’s likely to sideline him for Week 3. To add to the team’s woes, the tight end has been placed on the IR, creating some noticeable gaps in the roster. As Week 3 looms, all eyes will be on this team to see how the manager navigates these challenges. The ability to fill those gaps with the right free-agent acquisitions or clever lineup adjustments will be key in determining if this team can continue its ascent up the rankings. It’s a make-or-break moment for this squad, and their manager’s strategic acumen will be put to the test. Stay tuned to see if they can maintain their upward trajectory and remain a contender in the weeks to come

8. The Fantasy Football Team – managed by tstennis3 (-1)

The Fantasy Football Team experienced a minor setback this week, dropping one spot to land at #8 in our power rankings. However, beneath the surface, there are signs of improvement that should give both the team and its manager reason for optimism. One of the key changes the manager made this week was at the TE position hoping to secure a more steady option there. Additionally, the bold move to bench a starting running back in favor of the third-string option paid off in spectacular fashion. The young, unproven RB seized the opportunity and delivered a standout performance, proving that he might just belong in the starting lineup. The next logical step for this manager may be to consider making a similar change at the quarterback position. The starter, thus far, hasn’t lived up to expectations, and the team could benefit from a fresh perspective under center. What’s particularly intriguing about this team is that despite starting the season 0-2, they hold the highest ranking among winless teams. Their schedule hasn’t exactly been favorable, and it’s crucial to note that they are very much still in the hunt. With some strategic adjustments and continued strong performances from emerging players, this team could quickly turn things around and become a formidable force in the league. Don’t count them out just yet; they’re a sleeper team to watch as the season progresses

9. ChinPokoMon Super Toy #1! – managed by handydandygandy (-5)

For ChinPokoMon Super Toy #1!, Week 2 was a harsh reality check as they plummeted five spots to the #9 position in the power rankings. Despite showcasing a stellar defensive performance and a standout game from Swift in the flex position, their efforts fell short of securing a victory. Week 3 looms ominously on the horizon for this squad, as they find themselves facing a barrage of injuries that have decimated their roster. It’s a challenging situation that would test the mettle of even the most seasoned fantasy football manager. The injury bug has struck with ruthless precision, leaving them with a depleted lineup and a formidable uphill battle. Fortunately, the manager remains optimistic, as it appears that most of the injuries are not long-term. There’s hope that they can regroup and have most of their roster back in action by Week 4. In the meantime, the manager faces the daunting task of trying to steal a win in Week 3 with a makeshift lineup. It’s a true test of strategy and resilience in the face of adversity. As the saying goes, “It’s not about how you start; it’s about how you finish.” This team’s journey through the injury-riddled waters of Week 3 will undoubtedly be a challenging one, but if they can navigate the storm, they might emerge stronger and more determined for the battles that lie ahead in the season.

10. Take Me Tua Fantasy Ship! – managed by ShawDawg62 (-5)

Take Me Tua Fantasy Ship! has faced a significant challenge in Week 2, falling five spots to #10 in the rankings. After a promising Week 1 performance driven by strong quarterback play, the team took a noticeable step back in Week 2 as the quarterback underperformed. One encouraging development was the return of their first-round pick at tight end, who had a solid outing in his first game back. The hope is that he can build on this performance and become a consistent contributor to the team’s success. The starting wide receivers and running backs continued to perform admirably, delivering solid numbers for the squad. However, the Achilles’ heel in this week’s matchup was the two flex positions, which failed to meet expectations. Unfortunately, hindsight revealed a pair of 15-point performances left on the bench that could have made a significant difference in the outcome. While you can’t change the past, the key is to learn from it. This team finds itself on a slippery slope, but the season is far from over. Adjustments and strategic moves can help them regain their footing and climb back up the rankings. Fantasy football is a rollercoaster ride, and this team has the potential to turn things around and set sail on a more promising course in the weeks ahead.

11. Basdenators – managed by Baseden_ (-2)

The Basdenators faced a challenging Week 2, slipping two spots to #11 in the rankings. It was a formidable task, as they found themselves pitted against an opponent who appeared to hit their stride at just the right moment, transforming into what looked like a seasoned juggernaut of offensive prowess. Despite the uphill battle, the Basdenators did manage to shine in certain positions, demonstrating their potential for success. However, the manager is well aware that there are glaring weak links on the roster, with certain players consistently underperforming. In response to their 0-2 start to the season, the manager has been proactive, making waiver claims and navigating the free agency market to bolster the team’s prospects. The hope is that these strategic moves will pay off and provide a much-needed boost. The road ahead may be tough, but in the unpredictable world of fantasy football, fortunes can change quickly. With diligent work and calculated adjustments, the Basdenators have the opportunity to turn their season around and claw their way back into contention. It’s a challenge they’re undoubtedly ready to tackle head-on as they seek to improve their position in the power rankings

12. Kupptain America – managed by Wilkes (no change)

For the second week in a row, the team languishes at the #12 ranking, and it’s no surprise given the manager’s conspicuous absence from the league. This manager has become an elusive figure, seemingly never present when the team needs them the most. One glaring issue is the manager’s perplexing decision to leave two injured players in the lineup, players who have zero chance of contributing any points to the team’s cause. It’s a frustrating and bewildering development that has left both the ownership of the team and league officials understandably furious. The very essence of fantasy football hinges on active participation and strategic decision-making. When a manager is non-existent and fails to take even the most basic actions required to manage their team, it not only impacts their own chances of success but also disrupts the competitive balance of the league. As frustration mounts and the season progresses, the league officials and ownership will undoubtedly have to address this concerning situation. In the world of fantasy football, accountability and engagement are paramount, and this team’s continued presence at the bottom of the rankings serves as a stark reminder of the consequences of managerial neglect.

Week 1 Power Ranking

As the dust settles after the exhilarating opening week of action, the moment has arrived to unveil the highly anticipated power ranking list. With touchdowns, surprises, and standout performances echoing in our minds, this list serves as a reflection of the early pecking order. After only one week, some managers may find themselves basking in the glory of their astute draft picks and savvy start/sit decisions, while others may be left scrambling to adjust their strategies and rushing to the waiver wire. The unveiling of these rankings offers a glimpse into the shifting dynamics of the league, providing valuable insights and fueling the competitive fire that burns within every manager that has found their way into the Old Dawgs League. As the season unfolds, these rankings will evolve, but for now, they stand as a testament to the exciting journey that awaits in the weeks to come.

1. Aiyukatau! – managed by nolioli

In the kickoff to the season, one team emerged as the undisputed Week 1 juggernaut, setting the league ablaze with their staggering point total. With a mesmerizing 140-point performance, this squad displayed an early dominance that left jaws dropping. At the heart of this fantasy powerhouse is a wide receiver corps that boasts great depth, with a chance to continually torch opposing defenses with ease. Anchored by a trio of two starting WRs and a RB who combined for a whopping 90 points, this team’s “Big 3” may prove to be a formidable force. However, the luster of their victory was somewhat dimmed by subpar quarterback play, as their signal-caller struggled to deliver, highlighting an area in need of improvement. Yet, despite the quarterback’s underwhelming performance, this fantasy squad’s potential is undeniable, and their Week 1 statement could serve as a tantalizing preview of what’s to come in the season ahead.

2. Team Joshholtcamp – managed by joshholtcamp

This team managed to secure a respectable 125 points, despite encountering some frustrating setbacks. The most glaring of these setbacks was the absence of points from their star wide receiver, who, despite being targeted eight times, failed to even catch a pass to contribute to the scorecard in any way. A puzzling development indeed, given the high expectations placed upon this elite pass-catcher. Adding to the challenges, the quarterback’s performance was far from stellar, leaving fantasy managers scratching their heads and hoping for better days ahead. The tight end position was equally disappointing, almost appearing as a non-factor on the field. However, amid the turmoil, there was a silver lining in the form of two stud running backs who carried the team on their shoulders, each posting a remarkable 25-point outing. Their exceptional efforts proved that even in a week of disappointments and underperformance, the promise of fantasy glory still flickers brightly for this resilient squad.

3. Unvaxed Swine – managed by Virden

Unvaxed Swine carved out an impressive path to victory, amassing a commendable 110 points. The backbone of their success? Undoubtedly, their dynamic duo of running backs, who delivered performances that this manager hopes will be consistent. These two studs notched great games, accounting for a significant portion of the team’s total points with their remarkable performances. In the realm of quarterback play, the team enjoyed solid and dependable output, exactly what you’d expect from a seasoned starting QB. However, as the dust settled on their initial triumph, it became evident that beyond these two workhorse running backs and the steady hand of their quarterback, the team’s roster lacked significant depth, especially in the running back department. On the flip side, the wide receiver room may have lacked a bona fide star in Week 1, but the potential for explosive performances loomed large. As the season unfolds, there’s no doubt that this well-balanced team will be one to watch, with the promise of even greater success in the weeks ahead.

4. ChinPokoMon Super Toy #1! – managed by handydandygandy

Easily the weakest link of the top 4, Handydandygandy’s team managed to secure a respectable 110 points, and the most noteworthy surprise came from an unexpected source. Their rookie quarterback, who had raised eyebrows during the draft, delivered a solid outing, giving this fantasy manager hope for a promising season ahead. The manager is cautiously optimistic that this young signal-caller’s performance will remain consistent as he gains more experience. However, a whopping 35 points from their defense was undoubtedly the standout of the week. While it was an exhilarating start, there are doubts about whether this defensive powerhouse can maintain such a high level of success throughout the season. On the offensive side, the skill position players didn’t exactly set the world on fire, posting what some might call “role player” numbers. The fantasy community will be watching closely to see if these role players can step up and deliver more impressive performances as the season progresses. In a season full of uncertainties, this team’s story is one to follow, as the potential for both highs and lows remains ever-present.

5. Take My Money – managed by ShawDawg62

In a Week 1 matchup that showcased both promise and frustration, this team tallied a commendable 110 points yet found themselves on the losing end of the scoreboard. The most glaring disappointment came from the backup tight end, who got the start in the absence of the team’s first-round pick, sidelined for the week due to injury caution. This TE conundrum left a glaring hole in the roster, and fantasy managers are eagerly awaiting the star TE’s return to full health. On the brighter side, the skill position players turned in solid, if unspectacular, performances, with room for improvement at the flex position. However, the standout of the week was undoubtedly the quarterback, a talent known for his penchant for injuries. The manager is cautiously hopeful for a healthy season from this QB, as his impressive performance provided a silver lining amidst the disappointment. As the season unfolds, this team will look to shore up its weaknesses and harness its potential, with the belief that brighter days may be on the horizon.

6. Full on Chubb – managed by HungDawg

In Week 1, the savvy HungDawg secured a solid victory with a 100-point performance, proving that sometimes, consistency is all you need to come out on top. The starting lineup boasted stellar performances from both a running back and a wide receiver, who posted big-game numbers and carried the team on their backs. However, the flex positions left something to be desired, prompting this manager to take immediate action by submitting three waiver claims. Clearly, the drive to improve and fine-tune the roster was in full swing. As the dust settles on Week 1, it’s evident that this team has the potential to be a real threat in the league. With a little tinkering and some strategic moves, this manager’s squad could evolve into a formidable force that keeps the competition on their toes in the weeks to come.

7. The Fantasy Football Team – managed by tstennis3

In a Week 1 battle that could have gone either way, The Fantasy Football Team found themselves on the losing end, their dreams of victory slipping through their fingers by the slimmest of margins. The core of this team, comprised of wide receivers for whom the owner invested their first four draft picks, showed immense promise, with standout performances across the board, save for the fourth-round selection. While the quarterback didn’t have the best outing, committing two turnovers, there’s a palpable sense of potential in their ability to make plays both through the air and on the ground, giving hope for big scores in the future. The running back group, a reliable foundation, will require weekly scrutiny to optimize their output effectively. Each player delivered a solid showing in Week 1, contributing to the team’s competitive edge. However, the Achilles’ heel of this squad was undoubtedly the defense, which emerged as the glaring weak link. Despite the narrow Week 1 loss, this owner’s fantasy journey is far from over, and with a bit of strategic tweaking and continued faith in their talented roster, they remain poised for a season of thrilling fantasy football action.

8. Dawgballs69420 – managed by SheltonTill

Our lowest ranked 1-0 team, SheltonTill clinched a victory despite scoring the lowest points in a win in the league, a modest 97. This achievement was made possible by the dynamic duo of starting wide receivers and a strong stable of running backs who collectively carried the team. These skill position players showcased their worth, even if the rest of the roster didn’t quite live up to the challenge. The defense, in particular, was a glaring weak spot, yielding negative points and keeping the team from joining the coveted 100-point club. Adding to the struggles was the performance of arguably the best fantasy quarterback in recent years, who had an uncharacteristically off day, turning the ball over four times and posting single-digit points for the manager. Despite these setbacks, this manager demonstrated resilience and determination, immediately setting to work with three waiver claims, determined to bolster their team for the challenges that lie ahead. With the undisputed potential in their roster, there’s no doubt that this team is still very much in the mix for a successful fantasy campaign moving forward.

9. Basdenators – managed by Baseden_

In Week 1, the Basdenators came tantalizingly close to joining the coveted 100-point club, finishing the week with a commendable 99 points. Surprisingly, it wasn’t the usual suspects who stole the spotlight, but rather, the flex positions and the defense that emerged as the stars of the show. These unexpected heroes helped keep the team competitive and showcased their potential for the future. While the best running back in the league had a relatively average game, it’s clear that he’s a ticking time bomb, ready to explode with a massive performance, given his workhorse reputation. However, the real cause for concern stemmed from the performance of the highest-paid quarterback in the league, who struggled mightily, completing less than 50% of his passes and failing to account for a single touchdown. Yet, amid the disappointment, there was a silver lining—this team boasted the highest-scoring bench in the league, indicating that some strategic moves in choosing when to start certain players could be the key to a swift rise in the standings. As the season progresses, this team may just prove to be a force to be reckoned with, once they unlock the full potential of their roster.

10. Bishop Sycamore – managed by avfandel

Bishop Sycamore found themselves on the wrong side of a high-scoring affair, facing off against the week’s top-performing team. It was a challenging matchup in which the roster underperformed across the board, except for a shining beacon of hope at the WR1 position. This player proved to be a reliable and sure-handed target, consistently making big plays. The quarterback’s performance, while not extraordinary, was in line with projections, leaving the lingering question of whether he can maintain consistency throughout the season, as he typically has the potential for big numbers. On the bench, there were glimpses of promise from backup players, suggesting that there might be valuable depth waiting to be tapped into. However, the most pressing issue lies in the running back situation, which demands immediate attention and a thoughtful strategy moving forward. As the season unfolds, this team faces the challenge of finding solutions to their roster dilemmas and creating a path to competitiveness against formidable opponents, with the hope that they can turn things around in the weeks to come.

11. The JefferSones – managed by mitchellsones

In a game that was well within reach, The JefferSones suffered a frustrating loss due to glaring inconsistencies in their lineup. The quarterback and a pair of wide receivers, who were expected to be solid contributors, faltered, delivering lackluster performances that proved costly in what could have been a winnable matchup. On the bench, there was a glimmer of hope, with some players posting decent production that could have significantly narrowed the point deficit. It became clear that the manager had a keen eye for free agent talent, consistently making savvy moves to bolster their roster. However, the team had yet to put in a waiver claim, a strategic move that would grant them a higher position on the waiver order list and the opportunity to snag a coveted top free agent player when the time was right. As the season unfolds, this manager’s proactive approach to roster management may ultimately lead to a stronger, more competitive team, capable of turning close losses into thrilling victories.

12. Kupptain America – managed by Wilkes

Kupptain America found themselves at the bottom of the league standings, scoring the lowest points by a significant margin, with the next lowest score 20 points higher. Surprisingly, the quarterback play exceeded expectations, and a pair of wide receivers managed to put up solid numbers, giving a glimmer of hope amidst the dismal performance. However, it was poor management that ultimately cost this team valuable points. Leaving two players in starting positions who didn’t even step foot on the field was a costly oversight. Even if those players had been replaced, it might not have changed the outcome significantly. As the season progresses, it’s clear that this manager has some work to do in order to salvage their chances of winning a game this season. Locking in lineups and making strategic moves will be crucial in turning the tide and avoiding a season filled with disappointing results. If things don’t change, the league officials will have to take legitimate steps into ensuring that managers stay on top of their teams throughout the season as this has been an ongoing problem for the past few seasons.

Week 4 Power Rankings

PSA: This week’s power rankings will be a condensed version as I have been busy all week getting final grades in for the first 9 weeks at school.

In 4 weeks, we have seen just as many hold the top spot in the power rankings. There hasn’t been any one team who has solidified themselves as the favorite just yet. Nor has there been any teams who has played themselves out of the playoff picture just yet. The race to the top is still wide open though some have set themselves up in better positions than others.

#1. Blow Your Waddle (up 1):

Since the week 1 loss, this team has rattled off 3 straight wins becoming the hottest team in the league behind stellar WR play. This team has another weapon in WR Johnson now that he is off injury which only adds to the potential for this team to keep a lock on the top spot.

#2. Hung Dawg (up 4):

This is the only other team to get 3 straight wins since week 1, but it hasn’t been on an offensive outburst. Instead, this team has capitalized on it’s opponent’s offensive struggles each week. All that matters Is they keep on finding a way to win.

#3. #SAYHERNAME (no change):

#SHN continues to pour on the points behind star QB Mahomes and company. With one of the strangest games to date since the start of the league, we saw #SHN tie with their opponent Unvaxed Swine.

#4 Unvaxed Swine (no change):

Unvaxed Swine was on the other side of the tie game with #SHN. Coming back up from a clutch performance from Cook on Monday night saved this teams spot in the power rankings and kept them from picking up a loss in week 4.

#5 Basdenators (up 2):

The Basdenators even up their record behind a stable of RBs who had big performances in week 4. Their Star Ekeler doesn’t look as if he is going to slow down any time soon as he consistently hits 20 point performance for the 3rd straight week.

#6 Hurts to Lose (up 3):

This team also got back in the win column with the starting WR duo having huge performances. The TE Thomas has been injured, but the pick-up of Knox should help fill that void in weeks to come.

#7 Team joshholtcamp (down 6):

Team joshholtcamp fell to 2-2 this week because of a lack of offensive production from the starting lineup. The bench performed well and could have made this matchup a lot more interesting than it was.

#8 Mitch, You Guessed It (down 3):

Following a loss in week 4, this GM cleaned house and made 7 FA moves to try and revamp the depth that he is looking for. Let’s see if this helps with the offensive production in the flex spots.

#9 The Fantasy Football Team (up 2):

The Fantasy Football Team has picked up their second straight win and looks to have found their footing after a slow start to the season. It is starting to look like Patterson was the best FA pickup of the season with the outburst he has had.

#10 McRib is back! (down 2):

McRib is back! has found themselves with another loss after this weekend with some subpar WR performances. It has forced the GM to frustratingly place OBJ on the trading block.

#11 Team SheltonTill (down 1):

This team faced offensive struggles this week and found themselves 50 points below their opponents. It is also the first time this season we have seen a starting RB gain negative points.

#12 Bishop Sycamore (no change):

Bishop Sycamore can’t seem to get their offense on the right track. They are the only team whose average is under 100 points per week. We haven’t seen any FA moves from them this week, so it looks like they are sticking with who they have.

Week 3 Power Rankings: Undefeated No More

In a week dominated by unbelievable defensive play, we saw our one and only undefeated team in the league get beat this week which shook up the power rankings quite a bit. The league is still split down the middle evenly with six 2-1 teams and six 1-2 teams. This is the week where we can see some teams try and break out in front of the pack and see some teams slipping further from the playoff picture.

1. Team joshholtcamp – 2-1 (up 2):

The defending champs finally find their spot atop of the league. Team joshholtcamp continued their trend of scoring points this week as they have been each week. Being second in the league in points scored by only a few points, this team continues to rely heavily on their outstanding duo, and arguable the best duo in the league at this point, of WRs to lead them to their 2nd W in a row. In addition to Adams and Williams, this team also has the number one TE in the league up to this point in Kelce and a top 5 RB in Swift. Just about everywhere you look at this team you can find a dynamic playmaker who is able to put up points. If the surrounding players can keep putting up role playing numbers like they have been, there won’t be much that can hurt this team.

2. Blow Your Waddle – 2-1 (up 3):

From one dynamic WR duo to the next, Blow Your Waddle has a case in the argument of best duo in the league as well. To add a side with the main course, this team also has a weapon in Kamara who looks to get back on track and be a top RB weapon like everyone projects. And if you still aren’t full and want some dessert with that, his flex options are three solid top 40 guys who can put up numbers at any time and he just picked up the hottest kicker in fantasy right now. The sky is the limit for this team especially when Johnson gets back and adds even more depth to the offensive production.

3. #SAYHERNAME – 2-1 (down 1):

#SHN hasn’t been able to find that sweet spot again since week 1 in terms of scoring, but they did move in the right direction this week by finding their way back into the win column. This is a team full of weapons at practically every spot. The production has been falling off since week 1 but that is to be expected with the outburst that they had. The potential is still there for this team to hit it big every week they play, so opponents need to bring their A-game when playing this team. The puzzling question is why this team is hording defenses like they’re the department of defense. They pretty much have said they are sticking to the guns they have on offense. This isn’t a bad idea, as long as the players can stay healthy and stay on the field.

4. Unvaxed Swine – 2-1 (down 3):

Opposing teams always struggle to score points when playing Unvaxed Swine as they have the fewest points scored against them in the league. However, they found themselves with the same struggles their opposing teams face this week. They couldn’t find much production outside of Carson and Rodgers and injuries aren’t helping their cause any. It doesn’t seem like Browns injury was a significant one, but he still hasn’t been seen at practice yet. A close eye will have to be kept on him to know whether he will be in the starting lineup. Either way, more production needs to come from the surrounding positions if this team doesn’t want to stay on this side of the W/L column.

5. Mitch, You Guessed It – 2-1 (up 6):

It finally seems like Allen has turned on the jets and is returning to his old form. As we likely don’t expect to see 40-point outburst from him each week, we do expect for him to get back to the mid-20 point performances that made him a top QB last season. In addition to that, this team found a lot of support in the starting RBs and a WR whose production was increased thanks to an injured Johnson. While Claypool’s production may decrease with Johnson back, a waiver claim to pick up Hubbard, who will see a lot more action due to McCafrey’s injury, makes this teams potential to score just a probable as last weeks.

6. Hung Dawg – 2-1 (up 4):

This team continues to make a slow climb up the ladder as they add another win to their total. The offensive production wasn’t there this week, though it didn’t have to be with their opponent only scoring just above 80 points. What matters is they came away with a win. It is evident that this team is missing a couple of pieces. They lack depth at the RB position, but with White out the rest of the season you would expect for Harris to get back to the majority of touches. Injuries have also made this WR core stumble a bit, but the GM has added a few waivers claims to try and add more options there as well. We will see if those additions add the pieces this team needs or if other options will need to be taken.

7. Basdenators – 1-2 (down 1):

The Basdenators find theirselves in a slump as they just can’t seem to get all their starters clicking at the same time. Still, they aren’t doing anything to beat themselves. They are averaging a respectable 120 points per week which is enough to win most weeks. However, for whatever reason teams are finding their rhythm when they play the Basdenators as they have an average opposing score of 136 per week, the second highest average of points against. The GM has made a few wavier moves adding a WR and a K to look to get a few extra points out of those positions. If this team can get everyone clicking on the same page, they could see their early season struggles turn around.

8. McRib is back! – 1-2 (no change):

McRib is back! put up a respectable 130 points this week which was good enough to beat 8 opponents this week. They just happen to be facing the wrong one this weekend. Things are starting to click for this team as it seems all their pieces are starting to put it together. The starting WR production wasn’t where you would expect it to be. On the other hand, with OBJ coming off of that leg injury from last year, this GM looks for the starting WRs numbers to go up. Another issue this team saw last week was a brutal performance from their Def who they have dropped for Dallas. One thing is for certain, you can never count this team out with the combo of RBs in Hunt and Henry.

9. Hurts to Lose – 1-2 (down 2):

Hurts to Lose has been plagued with a halt in production from the starting WRs that showed a lot of promise from week 1. That, added with some inconsistencies at the flex options, has the GM second guessing the starting lineup which is leaving a lot of points on the bench. Unfortunately, even with those points in the starting rotations this team would still be at 1-2. Some aggravating but nonserious injuries has affected this team the past two weeks, so we will have to see what the GM does to counteract that issue. We did see an addition added at the RB position on waivers this past week as the team has once again added Moss after dropping him a few weeks ago. If the start WR can start producing again, this team should be alright and get themselves back on the right track

10. Team SheltonTill – 1-2 (down 6):

Team SheltonTill seems to find themselves each week in a nail biter that is decided at the end. One of the craziest stats in the league right now is that this team only have a six-point differential of points scored vs points against. The GM has been inaudible in the FA pool this week and also was late on starter changes last week leaving an injured Henderson in the starting rotation. McCaffrey getting injured isn’t going to do this team any favors. We could see offensive production drop if their role players can’t pick up the slack while McCaffrey heals.

11. The Fantasy Football Team – 1-2 (up 1):

The Fantasy Football Team secured their first victory of the season in exciting fashion by giving Unvaxed Swine their first loss of the year. This team has been the most consistent over the course of this early season. It is guaranteed to be a safe bet to bet that this team will score 110 points each week. How they get those points has been a little less consistent. It seems that start RB Barkley is starting to put up the numbers everyone expected, and a stellar Def performance gave this team another 20-point performance. They also saw the additions added to their bench last week put up good numbers for some extra flex options this upcoming week. Good news for the GM too, as there are some injury issues that is going to keep Shepard out this week.

12. Bishop Sycamore – 1-2 (down 3):

Bishop Sycamore is coming off their second straight loss as they just can’t seem to outscore the opponents. It does seem that they have finally found their QB1 in Carr and look to start him again this week. Hopkins was one of two weak links this past week as he has been fighting a rib injury. However, it looks as if he is suited up and ready to go this week which will raise his production assuming he stays healthy. At this point, this team must hope that their starters productions will rise from last weeks or at least stay consistent to have a shot. It looks as if their bench is fighting injury issues as well as two players could possibly be out.

Week 2 Power Rankings

This weeks Power Rankings could have easily been considered as having one number 1, ten number 2s and one number 12. But that crap wouldn’t sell. So here we are to give you the rankings you deserve based on mathematical formulas, weekly performances, offensive production, and complete and utter objective judgment.

#1 – Unvaxed Swine (up 1) 2-0:

With the easiest choice for this week’s power rankings, unvaxed swine is the only team in the league still undefeated. Many fans were shocked that only after 2 weeks there is only one team that hasn’t tasted defeat. It just goes to show that the league is as even as it has been in recent years. As expected, the GM made the smart play in keeping QB Rodgers in the lineup as he continued to do what he has always done after playing bad games, score points. His TE continues to look impressive putting up bigger numbers then projected, and the Defense put up a rare but impressive 20-point performance. The one questionable spot that rose over this weekend was the WR play not going as well as one would have thought. However, the GM has already added some depth to the position picking up Slayton off waivers. There will need to be some improvement at the WR position as it is unlikely their defense won’t perform like that every week.

#2 – #SAYHERNAME (down 1) 1-1:

#SHN didn’t have the same outcome this week as it’s record setting week 1 performance. Still, they had solid numbers put up from the starting positions. Where they struggled to see points was in their flex positions and TE position. The game would have been a lot closer had they had the Bears Def starting, but who could of predicted the scoring outburst from them. A mid week add of the Carolina Def now has them sitting with two Top 5 defenses after just two weeks so there shouldn’t be any issue with that position. Although they saw some scoring struggles this week, as they were the second lowest score this week, their ceiling is still very high on the offensive side of the ball as they showed in week 1.

#3 – Team joshholtcamp (up 2) 1-1:

The GM for Team joshholtcamp has set this team up in a very good position by adding an abundance of RBs to his team which is a trend he continued during this midweek on waivers. His two biggest performers at that position weren’t even in his starting lineup and he still managed to come out with a win this week. One thing that is something to keep an eye on is that Prescott had an atrocious game after a stellar return to action in week 1. You shouldn’t expect that trend to continue but it remains to be seen if he can be a consistently reliable starter option for the team. We could definitely see some trades proposed with the RB options that have been acquired by this team.

#4 – Team Sheltontill (up 6) 1-1:

Making the biggest movement this week is Team Sheltontill. Following another consecutive 33 point game from QB Murray, the rookie GM finally achieved his first win in his history with the league. The strength of this team is that they have the most consistent players in the league in Murray, McCaffrey, Henderson, and Allen putting up almost identical numbers in the first two weeks. In addition to that, the players that underperformed didn’t do horrible. They still scored some points that complemented the playmakers well and your team is set up in good positions when that happens. The two weak links of this team is by far the K and Def positions. We have seen some movement on the waivers from the rookie GM but have yet to see anything to try and secure a more reliable Def.

#5 – Blow Your Waddle (up 1) 1-1:

Blow Your Waddle is riding a fantastic performance from Kupp the first two weeks as he is leading the league in points for WRs. Their WRs and TE was the strength of the team this week as they all put up double digits. The struggle for this team has been at QB play as Tannehill just hasn’t hit his potential yet, but the GM has tried to rectify that by making an addition with Fields at the position and dropping Burrow. In addition, the GM has gotten snubbed twice on waiver claims as he has tried to strengthen his roster with a Def and WR. Despite that, one thing that needs to happen for this team is more consistent RB play from week to week.

#6 – Basdenators (down 3) 1-1:

Regardless of a K who never got a chance to score any points and a Flex WR, The Basdenators had one of the more solid performances throughout the starting roster in week 2. But when the opposing team has two players who put up 76 points, it is extremely hard to escape the weekend with a win. You didn’t see a big breakout game from any particular player on the team, but each player put up enough points to keep the team in the game excluding Davis and Sanders. Unlike his opposing GM from last weekend, we have seen Basdenators’ GM make a switch a K with Hopkins and add some extra depth at WR by picking up Osborn, both of those off of waivers.

#7 – Hurts to Lose (down 3) 1-1:

The GM of Hurts to Lose has been quiet in the FA pool this week after adding White, Goff, Reagor, and the Browns last week to the team. The thing that hurt this team this past weekend was the poor play at the WR positions. The QB position was a worry going late into the game but a late rushing touchdown from Hurts gave them a push to a lead going into Monday night. However, the two players left to play for BYW was too much for a minimal lead for HtL to hang on to a win. A positive note for this team is that the bench amassed a number of points from White and Pittman which leaves some decisions to be made to the starting lineup. Either way the potential to score is there. The GM just has to put the right players in the line up during the right weeks. A task easier said then done.

#8 – McRib is back! (up 3) 1-1:

The record setting performance from Henry was one to marvel at as he and Jackson compiled 58% of the teams total points. Besides Ridley and Cooks, the rest of the team was unimpressive to say the least and causes some real concern for the fans of this team. What is more concerning is the GM has been silent on the FA market without making any moves. It seems like he is putting all his stock in his draft picks to pull it out instead of looking for other options. At some point though, there has to be a time in which this GM makes a choice to cut those who aren’t performing. We will have to keep an eye on the transaction list to see when that point will come.

#9 – Bishop Sycamore (down 2) 1-1:

Bishop Sycamore’s GM is still on the hunt for a starting QB by using his waiver order to pick up Carr this week. While he definitely fits the age requirement, we will see if the LV QB can solidify his spot as the starter on the roster for Bishop Sycamore. This is arguably the most disappointing loss this week in the league as poor QB play and a goose egg from the Def slot negated a colossal performance from Jones. It also hurts that the one WR who had the biggest performance was left on the bench where everything is made up and the points don’t matter.

#10 – Hung Dawg (up 2) 1-1:

Maybe the biggest surprise of the week after such a poor showing in week 1 was the scoring outburst by Hung Dawg. The rookie GM is ecstatic as it didn’t take long to get the first win under his belt. With the most solid performance all around in the starting lineup this week, Hung Dawg easily got the win with near double digit performances from every starter in the lineup bar the K. It is hard to find a weakness with this team when they are performing this well. However, it is yet to be seen if this team has the consistency to keep it up from here on out. Was the first week just a slow start? Or will this team be like one of the Migos’ top songs in 2014 and be wishy washy? One thing that is concerning is that there seems to be absolutely no depth on the bench with this team as their were three players who were pointless (note that one of them is being held for injury).

#11 – Mitch, You Guessed It (down 3) 1-1:

Mitch, You Guessed It still has a chance to be a sleeper team to pull out in front in a big way. With a majority of the team having 3 year or less experience in the league, the biggest issue that this team is facing is that the offense is off to a slow start. Allen, Claypool, and Edwards-Helaire have yet to put together a big game and there have been some inconsistencies from other positions as well. You feel like once this team gets it figured out and rolling along they have the potential to continue to climb each week. The GM has been making some additions during the week as well and seems to be pushing for that climb to happen sooner than later.

#12 – The Fantasy Football Team (down 3) 0-2:

The Fantasy Football Team is the lone winless team and find theirselves in the bottom spot of the power rankings this week. This team has one of the higher floors as they have managed to score 112 both weeks. In addition, the GM has made probably one of the best moves this mid week in adding Patterson to their roster off of waivers who is interestingly enough listed as a RB and WR so can be put in either of the 6 slots on the starting lineup. He is riding the decision to only have one QB on the roster, but Stafford has performed well the first two weeks. Lastly, the GM is showing some unwavering patience waiting for the 1st round pick Barkley to really get going and it feels like it is only a matter of time.

Public Apology

Before we start, I want to formally apologize to Mr. Josh Holtcamp who is the GM for Team joshholtcamp. An article was posted from this publication that stated that Will Basden was the defending champion of the league and that was incorrect. Last year, the winner of The League was none other than Mr. Josh Holtcamp. With the Covid season last year and no fans allowed to be in the stands, it is easy to look over the results of last years playoffs. However, that is no excuse to hide behind and we, at this company, take our reporting with the utmost seriousness. Therefore, the writer and editor of the last article was let go from this company and we are striving to rectify the mistake that was made. Our hope is to bring you the best and most current news without bias and we will continue to strive to do so.

Thank you,

Old Ball Writer
