Week 1 is in the books, and the teams wasted no time bringing the fireworks. We had heartbreakers, blowouts, lineup regrets, and even a kicker injury before the first snap. Some preseason favorites looked every bit the part, while others stumbled out of the gate. Let’s dive into the first official Power Rankings of the season!
1. Unvaxed Swine (GM: Virden) (1–0) NC
The juggernaut looked every bit the part, dropping a league-high for the ’25 season 150.02 points. CMC, Samuel, and Denver’s defense led the way in a dominant win. Mahomes was steady, Hockenson disappointing, but it didn’t matter at the end of the day. This roster has no glaring holes. The only comfort for the league: the bench looked mortal. Still, this team is as terrifying as advertised.
2. Teamjoshholtcamp (GM: joshholtcamp) (1–0) +2
A statement win in a thriller, 120.58–118.36. Lamb, Hall, Hurts, and TE Bowers all looked strong, with Flowers exploding for 25 in the flex. The downside: Pacheco and Downs both left points on the table, but depth carried the day. This team showed they can grind out close wins against tough opponents, which is a hallmark of playoff squads.
3. Bishop Sycamore (GM: avfandel) (1–0) +2
Josh Allen reminded the league why he’s a fantasy cheat code, racking up 38.76 points and carrying Sycamore to a 106.66–97.48 win. Kelce and Hubbard were steady, while St. Brown and Smith sputtered. The scary part? Kyren Williams went off on the bench. If the starters production comes along, this squad could push to the top tier.
4. GoffenseWinsGames (GM:ShawDawg62) (1–0) +2
The RB core delivered in a gritty 98–94 win over the Basdenators as Barkley, Kyren, Conner combined for 42 points. TE depth is a real weapon, with both Kincaid, who was benched, and Smith hitting 10+. WRs Higgins and Waddle, battling injury, underwhelmed, and QB Goff was shaky at best, but this team feels like it has the balance to contend. Survive and advance.
5. You Shadeur About That? (GM:Wilkes) (1–0) +5
One of Week 1’s biggest risers. Wilkes rode steady play across the board plus a flex breakout from Wilson to upset preseason #2 Mike Hunt Mike Hunt. Smartly avoided a disaster by benching Johnson, and RB Sampson flashed on the bench. Still some rotation decisions to be made at RB and WR, but this team is suddenly looking very real.
6. TheFantasyFootballTeam (GM:tstennis3)(1–0) +2
They didn’t even need Herbert’s 28 points on the bench to cruise to a 114.32–85.54 win. Rookie WR Egbuka popped off, and Odunze looked good on the pine. The worry: Pickens struggled, and two bench spots need to be looked at because of IR and inactives. If Herbert is unleashed moving forward, this team can climb fast.
7. McLovin (GM: nolioli) (0–1) -4
Henry reminded everyone he’s still a beast, and Mayfield gave steady QB play. But the WR room imploded. The starters combined for just 9 points, and Worthy goose-egged in the flex. A narrow 97.48–106.66 loss hurts more because it feels like it was one lineup swap away from victory. Depth will be tested early.
8. BrockbackMountain (GM:handydandy) (0–1) -1
Lamar and Bijan delivered, but benching Etienne proved costly in a 118.36–120.58 nailbiter. Andrews’ 1-point dud was a gut punch. Green Bay’s Def looks like it could be a weekly weapon, but lineup decisions need to be sharper in close contests. Felt like this team was one big play away from basking in the spoils of victory. This is a playoff-caliber roster that just took a bad beat.
9. Basdenators (GM:Basden_) (0–1) -2
So close, but Pittman’s performance on the bench looms large in a 94.82–98 loss. Achane and JSN flashed, but Prescott’s gaudy numbers cratered the week. The GM is making moves early looking to add depth in the WR room and trying to get on the right side of winning. This team has weapons, but QB play and lineup decisions need to tighten up quickly.
10. Mike Hunt Mike Hunt (GM:EvanUnruh) (0–1) -8
Preseason #2 team comes crashing down. Burrow flopped, and the WR trio of A.J. Brown, Ridley, and rookie Golden combined for just 8 points. The silver lining? The bench went nuclear having Keon Coleman, Kennan Allen, and Hollywood Brown combine for 50+. The difference in staying at the top or tumbling down was just a few lineup changes away. A reshape of the lineup could take this team back up the ladder. GM Unruh has to make tough choices fast.
11. Good Jeants (GM:mitchellsones) (0–1) NC
Dropped 114.68, which would’ve beaten most of the league, but ran into the buzzsaw that is Unvaxed Swine. Purdy’s injury hurts going forward, but the rookie Jeanty looked solid, and Croskey-Merritt flashed on the bench. Strong kicker and Def play were bright spots in week 1 and the GM hopes to keep that going. The bench moves this week show a GM scrambling to patch holes and strengthing rooms. One things certain, there’s fight in this roster.
12. Baker’s Dozen (Lweezy4) (0–1) -1
Chase and Adams disappeared, Nix faceplanted, and Engram couldn’t bail them out in an 85.54 dud. Dobbins looked good on the bench, but lineup space is tight. The good news? It’s only Week 1 and there is a lot of ball left to play. The bad news? Fans might be upset to know the GM is sticking with his draft picks; not many roster moves were made during the week on the waiver wire.
Waiver & Trade Notes
- On the block: Tyrone Tracy (Wilkes).
- Key Adds: Wilkes grabbed WR Boutte (over Mitchellsones), Basden scooped Johnston and Austin, Mitchellsones added Fields, Tillman, and Giddens.
- Drops of Note: Wilkes ditched Tank Bigsby, Mitchellsones cut Shrader despite his 15-point outburst, tstennis swapped out Spears and Bengals D.
A lot of ball left to play
Week 1 gave us fireworks, lineup heartbreaks, and a clear top dog. But as we’ve already seen, one lineup decision or breakout bench performance can swing everything. With trades starting to percolate and waivers heating up, expect some big shakeups in Week 2.
